چکیده
Optical vortices have drawn extensive research interests due to their widespread applications in various fields. Therefore, it is of great significance modulate optical endow them with more properties. Herein, the autofocusing and self-healing properties are introduced via implementing circular cubic phase modulation. The propagation dynamics modulated vortex analyzed, experimental results match well simulations. Moreover, autodefocusing can also be generated, flexible switching between state easily realized by adjusting helicity incident polarization. Besides, topological charges two states experimentally verified. Our study provides a novel way vortices, which may enrich optics photonics.

Self-Phase Modulation in Semiconductor Optical Amplifiers
This paper presents a detailed theoretical and experimental study of the impact of amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) on self-phase modulation in semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOAs). A theoretical model of pulse propagation in SOAs is developed that includes the ASE power and its effect on gainsaturation and gain-recovery. We study the impact of ASE on the nonlinear phase shift, frequency...

The closely related phenomena of dark states and electromagnetically induced transparency ~EIT! have greatly enriched the fields of nonlinear and quantum optics in recent years. Although these two processes produce similar effects, they have important distinctions. Atomic dark states @1,2# are coherent superpositions of the two lower levels in a threelevel lambda (L) system that are not coupled...

Polarization dependence of various fiber effects affecting signal quality in wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) systems has become a major field of research activities. Polarization– mode dispersion (PMD) and polarization–dependent loss (PDL) are quite well understood today, but there are still major open questions with respect to the interaction with nonlinear fiber effects, although the p...

متن کاملPropagation dynamics of optical vortices due to Gouy phase.
We study the propagation of off-axis vortices in a paraxial beam formed by two collinear Laguerre-Gauss beams. We show that the vortices move about the beam axis as the light propagates resulting in a rotation of the beam's transverse profile. This rotation is explained by the Gouy phase acquired by the component beams. Experimental measurements of the angular position of the vortices are in go...
